You know my respect to Thanos Kyriakides' artwork and that i admire BLIND ADAM project ( www.blindadam.com ) . Blind Adam is includes fashion, Design, Architecture . The magic and the unique idea of Blind Adam project has spurred interest of many collectors, galleries, museums, fashion and art magazines, members of the design community.
On Desember 1st he presented his excellent work creating a fairytale Christmas tree for "Les Sapins de Noël des Créateurs” of the Carla Bruni Sarkozy foundation and it was a night between fact and fiction....

"Les Sapins de Noël des Créateurs”, initiated by Marie-Christiane
Marek, invites every year the biggest names in fashion, design and
architecture to create unique Christmas trees, to be sold at an
auction. Proceeds collected during the auction of trees,
on December 1st at l’Espace Vendôme, was donated to the Carla
BruniSarkozy foundation, that supports the association « L’enfant @
l’hôpital » as part of this operation for the second consecutive year.
With the participation of: Chanel, Christian Dior, Christian Ghion,
Dsquared, Gucci, Hermès, H&M, India Mahdavi, Isabel Marant,
Jakob+Macfarlane, JeanCharles de Castelbajac, JeanPaul Gaultier,

The fifteenth anniversary « Les Sapins de Noël des Créateurs » was a special TV program of 52 minutes, co presented by Marie-
Christiane Marekd and Jean Paul Gaultier, produced by Paris Modes
Productions and broadcasted on TV5Monde, during the Christmas
holiday season.
It will be presented as a reportage on www.parismodes.tv and
released by AFP video on December.

I'm so happy and proud for my new capsule collection for winter 2010-11. First of all because i worked with people who are really artists and inspired. Christos Karantzolas (www.christoskarantzolas.com) who is a man i admire as photographer, person and artist, took so creative photos. Thanos Kyriakides (www.blindadam.com) made the art direction and the styling of this shooting. Zoe Iordanidou made fabulous make up and hair. Also, we have the luck to met and worked with Nikki from D-Models who is a New Yorker girl full of energy and style, in a great place, the REBEL STUDIO of D-tales Creative Agency (www.d-tales.gr). You can enjoy the black&white atmosphere of this new collection....

Artist Ioanna Pantazopoulou (one of the best young women artist who has cleαr-head, monumental beauty and her artwork is an emotional Armageddon)is wearing the "MATA HARI DRESS" from collection #1 act #2 of Thanos Kyriakides' BLIND ADAM Project(whose worlkd i adore and admire). Stavros Christo Vlachakis is a virtuoso of video art and a unique person. I'm so glad i met him...
She wanders hauntingly around the historical Tombazis Mansion on Hydra Island, Greece.
This film intends to capture and portray the journey of a "timeless entity" that transcends through a domestic space, whilst leaving a trail of momentary traces of existence.

John Galliano: Menswear

John Galliano put on a fantastic menswear show for his Spring/Summer 2011 collection. Galliano dressed the models as silent film stars, such as Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton. The base palette was blue, grey and black. The silhouette for the pants was baggy and oversized. Hats were out in full force, as were jackets of all kinds form bomber jackets to trench coats to silk smoking jackets. We loved all the hats, from the straw boaters to the leather caps. The Little Tramp was there, as was the 1930s prisoner in his stripes and even the classic lounge lizard. But it wasn't all an homage to the silent film era. As the show went on, the clothes got more modern: there were quite a few ensembles that should be picked up by the world's biggest rap and pop stars.

The fringed bangs, fashioned before she was five years old, the improbably high heels, the flared (preferably black) skirts: Victoire de Castellane¹s silhouette is a poem in itself. Her eyes convey a mix of candour and fantasy, and the ever present smile is often cheeky. She is a fabulous woman with great style and adorable personality.
Her jewelries are huge, bold, chunky, glamorous. It’s like wearing a little forest or a fairytale on your body.

BLIND ADAM AT HYDRA SCHOOL PROJECTS

BLIND ADAM is an art project, debuted in 2007, by Athens based Thanos Kyriakides. Having collaborated, as fashion editor, with numerous Greek editions of international magazine titles (Vogue, L'Officiel, etc.) since 1989, he decides to combine his studies on History of Art, his experience in fashion as well as his visual impairment (retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerating disease of the retina), to come up with BLIND ADAM.
This project is mostly inspired by Jean Cocteau's and Giacometti's artwork and by the allegoric tale "The Emperor's new clothes". The basic idea is the creation of pieces, made from assembled hand-knotted yarn, that resemble clothes' skeletons or different forms, depending on the concept each time. These pieces can have various interpretations. Their other characteristic is that they could also be worn. These continuous project, presented in acts, has references, expresses antitheses and sets questions on the ideas of reality, hallucination, blindness, vision, religion, spirituality as well as other fundamental issues that have been always puzzling humanity. It is also a comment on the essence of fashion.
The BLIND ADAM project also includes canvas series, sculpture installations and films.
